| The LA Marathon is getting closer and I'm a bit nervous. When I have been running the longer distances my legs hurt. Sometime this week will run 21 miles. I have this goal of 4 hours and 22 minutes to finish the marathon. I would have to stop and go to the restroom and may be longer. I remember last year running the Revlon Run Walk and it was only 5K and I fell and bruised my leg badly and fell another time training. I thought 3 miles was a lot. I may not receive anything from this but it inspires me when you set a goal and stick to it YOU CAN DO IT! It is also inspiring just to see people encourage you while running. In your mind your saying where is the finish line. Then you will hear someone say good job! or I hear this is down hill from here. When the Marathon happens remember wear sunscreen. If you can carry powerbars, take vitamins try to eat carbohydrates the night before the race but don't eat too late. Stretch before the race and wear comfortable shoes and clothing. |
